What have we been listening to this month??
Brigitte Calls Me Baby
Album: The Future Is Our Way Out
Despite Brigitte Calls Me Baby being an American band, there is something inspiringly British about lead singer Wes Leavins’ voice. Their 2024 album The Future Is Our Way Out, has hit after hit, and we can’t help but feel the 80s influence. If we had to pick one track from the album it would have to be Eddie My Love. It’s a catchy ballad that is hard not to sing along to.
We are excited to see what the band have to offer in their upcoming album releasing in March.
Lip Filler
Track: Soho house
Up and comers Lip Filler hail from London, and we have had their track Soho House on repeat. Despite the band being very much up and coming, their 2025 EP titled EP3 does not miss a beat with alt banger after banger.
Florence Road
EP: Fall Back
The 2025 EP Fall Back from Florence Road, which features fan-favourites Goodnight, Heavy and Break the Girl, is a delicious treat for the ears. The Irish rock band has become one of our favourite female-led indie bands of 2026. Lily Aron’s voice is not to be missed.
Wolf Alice
Track: Smile
They’ve been about the block for a while, but ashamedly, we have not listened to much of Wolf Alice. In preparation for Kendal Calling 2026, we have been revising the band’s tracks. And from their 2021 album Blue Weekend, the song Smile stuck out, and has been a regular track on our playlist ever since.
The Lathums
Track: Stellar Cast
Wigan born and bred, The Lathums released their new album Matter Does Not Define last year, and we have been loving it. But in particular the song Stellar Cast has been on repeat this month. There is something about the riffs and pace of the track that just scratches an itch.
Fred again..
Album: USB
The brand-new Fred again.. album, released only this month had to make an appearance. While it is a little different to our other recommendations, the tracks Lights Burn Dimmer, places to be and Talk of the Town have been on repeat for us.
Stay tuned for our next ‘must listen’ list out at the end of March.
Yours,
The Gloture team xox
